Deepwater Biodiversity - Realtime!

See deepwater biodiversity of the northern Gulf of Mexico in real time via oceanexplorer.  There are 3 video streams, one from the ROV, one from the associated tow body, and a navigation feed from the ship. 

Scientists have been diving daily 0800-1700 and will continue almost every day until 29 April, except 7-11 April when they return to port for a crew change. The ROV is revisiting a deep-coral site at 1584 m. The site was studied last year as part of the DWH impact analysis.
